Monaco's Zoological Gardens

Looking out over the port of Fontvieille on the southern side of the Rock, these zoological gardens were founded by Prince Rainier III in 1954.

They give shelter to some three hundred animals and about sixty different species: exotic birds, turtles, caimans, hippopotamus, reptiles, primates, lemurs...

These gardens have a rather special feature as they provide a home for animals that are donated, abandoned, recovered from customs seizures or donated from other parks.

Your visit will immerse you in a wild world located right in the middle of the modernity of the Principality of Monaco.

For younger visitors, there is also a play park in the gardens.
