Official trip by HSH the Prince to Lebanon

This provided the Sovereign with an opportunity to ensure all the Lebanese officials He met, political figures and major players in civil society, of the Principality's respect and friendship for the Lebanese people.
On Thursday 13 January, the Prince placed flowers on Martyrs' Square before going to the Presidential Palace for a meeting and working lunch with the Lebanese President, Michel Sleiman.

The two Heads of State read a declaration to the press before attending a ceremony to plant a cedar tree in the gardens of the Presidential Palace.

The Sovereign then went to the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIABML) accompanied by a delegation from the Chamber of Economic Development of Monaco (CDE) made up of leaders of some thirty of the Principality's enterprises.
On this occasion, both Chambers signed an agreement reinforcing economic exchanges between the two countries.

The Prince participated in a working dinner at the invitation of the Presidency of the Lebanese Parliament.

On Friday 14 January, the Prince met with the Patriarch of Antioch and all the Orient, Cardinal Mar Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir, in Bkerke.

After this meeting, He went to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) for the signature of agreements between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA) and the Principality.

Then, at the invitation of the Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, He went to a meeting at the Seraglio.

The Sovereign also visited the premises of the AUDI Bank, located in Monaco, and ES-KO, a Monegasque company that supplies the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in particular.

The visit enabled both countries to reinforce their cooperation in many areas.
