71st Monaco Red Cross Ball

On Friday 26 July 2019 the 71st Monaco Red Cross Ball took place in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and H.S.H. Princess Charlène in the Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo.

For the Monaco Red Cross founded in 1948 by Prince Louis II, and presided over today by Prince Albert II, this anniversary evening marked more than seventy years of daily action in support of the most vulnerable people. The evening is a tribute to the donors of the Monaco Red Cross, whose generosity allows them to prevent and alleviate the suffering of those in need.
In the Principality, 58 employees and nearly 600 volunteer members offer their time to accomplish the association’s missions both nationally and internationally in response to disasters as well as alongside other National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. In 2018, more than 44,000 people worldwide benefited from the actions of the Monaco Red Cross.

This year the presentation of the evening and the famous tombola of the 71st Monaco Red Cross Ball was entrusted to Mrs Karin Viard and Mr Michel Drucker.

Music was provided by country music group MamaDear, rock from South Africans Prime Circle, the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and John Legend, an internationally renowned American artist who has won many awards including ten Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe and another Academy Award.

During the evening, guests were also able to discover, in the Sporting Monte Carlo hall, Marcello Lo Giudice's work entitled "Red Volcano", the Italian artist's gift to the Monaco Red Cross.
