H.E. Mr Giulio Alaimo, new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the Principality of Monaco

On Wednesday 16 September 2020, H.S.H. Prince Albert II received H.E. Mr Giulio Alaimo, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the Principality of Monaco at His Palace. The latter presented him with his Letters of Credence on this occasion.

A Political Science graduate of the University of Rome La Sapienza, H.E. Mr. Giulio Alaimo was appointed to the diplomatic service in 1991. He worked at the Directorate General of Economic Affairs and pursued his diplomatic career in various directorates before being appointed in 2007 as First Counsellor for Emigration and Social Affairs in Ottawa and then in Paris in 2009.

From 2013, he took up the position in the General Directorate for Promotion of the "Sistema Paese".

He also served as General Commissioner for the Milan Universal Exhibition in 2015.

In 2016, he was appointed Consul General First Class in Zurich.
