This marked the first time that the Principality of Monaco has taken part in this world-famous floral exhibition which attracts over 160.000 visitors each year and yesterday, the jury of the London-based show awarded a Gold medal to the Monaco Garden.
Three years of work werenecessary for its creation.
The Government, the Embassy of Monaco in the United Kingdom and a steering committee chaired by Mr Roger Shine, worked in close collaboration to create this area.
The Monaco Garden was designed by Mrs Sarah Eberle, a British landscape designer who, over the course of her career, has notably won eight Gold medals and two George Cook awards.
