H.S.H. Prince Albert II will visit Chile from 30 June to 2 July.
On 30 June, in Valparaiso, the Sovereign Prince will tour the facilities of the Chilean naval base along with its academy and oceanographic museum. He will be accompanied by Mr Fautrier, Chief Executive Officer of the Prince Albert II Foundation and Mr Calcagno, Managing Director of the Monaco Oceanographic Institute.
He will then take part in a gala dinner given in aid of AMADE Chile.
On 1st July, in Santiago de Chile, he will attend the launch of the 5th "Monaco Blue Initiative" which will take place over 2 days.
Once again this year, around fifty policy makers, entrepreneurs, scientists, representatives of civil society and non-governmental organisations and high-level experts on oceans have agreed to attend this event at the invitation of the Monaco Blue Initiative in order to share their experiences, solutions and best practices.
This year, this international platform for dialogue and the exchange of ideas, which aims to promote more sustainable management of the oceans will focus in particular on funding for marine protected areas and governance of the high seas.
H.S.H. the Prince will also have an audience with Mrs Michèle Bachelet, President of the Republic of Chile.
After this meeting, he will join the MBI conference where he will give the closing speech.
