The Prince and Princess of Monaco attended the 7th Awards ceremony for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation in Palm Springs, California, yesterday Sunday 12 October.
The Sovereign Prince presented awards to Professor Ove Hoegh-Guldberg for his research on the effects of climate change, Caroline Pollock for IUCN actions in favor of endangered species and Ma Jun for his dedication to water resources management.
A special prize went to Sylvia Earle, an explorer and oceanographer who has undertaken 100 expeditions all over the world.
