To mark the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Monaco, the Comité de Commémoration d’Epoque, a committee set up to commemorate the events of the period, wished to pay particular homage to Prince Rainier by re-creating a guard of honour whose participants, in period dress, wore the uniform and insignia of the prestigious regiment to which the Price belonged, one of the most highly decorated in the French armed forces.
Yesterday H.S.H Prince Albert met those taking part on the Place du Palais Princier to salute this initiative.
