Participation of H.S.H.Prince Albert II to the 7th World Water Forum

H.S.H Prince Albert II is participating in the 7th World Water Forum in Daegu (South Korea), which gathers political decision makers, NGOs, scientists and industrialists to discuss providing the broadest possible access to this resource in the face of issues of pollution, demographic growth and geopolitical tensions.

In today’s world, nearly 2 billion people are deprived of access to clean drinking water.

HSH the Prince, in the context of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, attended sessions dedicated to such varied topics as Wastewater Management and Reuse, and the Use and Harnessing of Water in Mountain Regions.

Seven Heads of State are present at this forum; they will take part in bilateral exchanges.

Yesterday, at the opening of the Forum, HSH Prince Albert II met with Park Geun-Hye, the first woman in history to be elected President of South Korea.

They discussed water resources management and the economy as well as a possible rapprochement between the Monaco Chamber of Economic Development and the Korea Chamber of Commerce.

HSH the Prince pursued His bilateral discussions with the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
