Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène attended the traditional Christmas Ball on Friday, 12 December, held in the sumptuous Empire Room of the Hôtel de Paris.
An emblematic charitable event in the Principality, this 20th edition of the Christmas Ball, held under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Princess Charlène, once again brought together numerous guests around an essential cause: supporting children.
The evening was punctuated by an auction conducted by Sotheby’s, with all proceeds to be donated in full to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, in support of its initiatives dedicated to drowning prevention and to educating children through the values of sport.
A highlight of the gala was when H.S.H. Princess Charlène received the “Monaco Star” Award from Sandrine Knoell, organiser of the event—an honour recognising her commitment to children through her Foundation. This marked the very first presentation of this award by the International Action Committee of the Christmas Ball, which aims to honour individuals working for the well-being of younger generations.
An evening marked by solidarity, elegance and a shared commitment to youth.
