On Wednesday, 10 December, H.S.H. Prince Albert II and H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover inaugurated the Médiathèque Caroline, now located at the Pasteur block, alongside Ms Charlotte Casiraghi, Miss Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, and the Monegasque authorities.
Following the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and the blessing of the premises, Their Highnesses, welcomed by Mayor Georges Marsan and his team, discovered this new cultural hub through a theatrical tour specially designed for the opening.
Bringing together a library, a video and audio library, and a games library, the new Médiathèque is intended as a local place for sharing, open to all and free of charge, where discovery and learning go hand in hand. It will offer a varied cultural programme, including screenings, workshops, readings, concerts, and an annual heritage exhibition.
A bust of Prince Pierre was also unveiled at the entrance to the site.
