"Dear Compatriots,
Dear Residents,
Dear Friends,
As the world prepares to close the chapter on 2025 and open the one on 2026, I would like to extend my best wishes for health, success, and happiness to each and every one of you.
And I would like to wish our entire community continued growth in serenity and unity.
The year that is coming to an end has been a wonderful and happy one for the Principality of Monaco.
We have achieved successes of which we can be proud.
These have been political and diplomatic, with visits from foreign heads of state and the organization, last June, of the Blue Economy and Finance Forum, which was a decisive step in the implementation of a new model of development that respects the seas.
Our successes have also been economic, with public finances remaining healthy, businesses flourishing, and an undiminished appeal, as evidenced by the remarkable results recorded again this year.
Our successes have also been sporting, with the exceptional performances of many Monegasque athletes, who have made our country shine throughout the world – in tennis, sailing, horse riding, swimming, Formula 1... and so many other sports.
But our main successes, the ones I want to focus on this evening, have above all been human.
Once again this year, our community has demonstrated its strength and unity, and has risen to great challenges. We have come together for moments of great communion, such as the 20th anniversary of my reign last July. And we have continued to move forward together toward common goals, based on progress and the general interest.
Our values, our unity, and our model have once again demonstrated their strength, our strength, this year.
I therefore hope that 2026 will in turn be an opportunity to promote this model.
This is the task I will continue to pursue, in Monaco and beyond our borders, for our Principality and for all of you.
My dear compatriots, dear residents, dear friends,
As I look ahead to 2026, my thoughts go out in particular to those of us who are in pain, those who are suffering physically or emotionally. To them, too, I would like to express my affection, that of Princess Charlene, that of my family, and our support to all.
United when things are going well, we know how to be united during more painful times as well.
Together, we will make 2026 a great and wonderful year for Monaco and for each of us.
