On Tuesday, 2 December, H.S.H. Prince Albert II passed through the Holy Door of St Peter’s Basilica, which is opened every 25 years as part of the Jubilee, in accordance with the tradition of the Catholic Church.
Accompanied by H.E. Archbishop Dominique-Marie David of Monaco, as well as the Principality’s diplomatic representatives to the Holy See and Italy, the Sovereign took part in a moment of reflection and prayer in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.
This spiritual step was shared with the Monegasque pilgrims present in Rome.
The Holy Door will be closed on 6 January by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, bringing the Jubilee of 2025 to a close.
