On Saturday, March 28, 2026, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV will undertake an apostolic visit to the Principality of Monaco for a day marked by official and spiritual highlights. This journey represents a major milestone in Monaco’s history. While Pope Paul III was received on the Rock in 1538, this visit on March 28 marks the first apostolic journey by a Pope to Monaco in the modern era.
Upon his arrival, the Holy Father will be welcomed by T.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, before being received in audience at the Prince’s Palace by H.S.H. the Prince. Following this meeting, the Sovereign Prince and Pope Leo XIV, accompanied by H.S.H. Princess Charlene, will address the crowds gathered on the Palace Square from the balcony.
The Supreme Pontiff will then travel via the popemobile to the Monaco Cathedral, where he will be greeted by the Princely Couple and H.E. Archbishop Dominique-Marie DAVID for a meeting with the Catholic community. His Holiness Pope Leo XIV will then proceed to the Church of Saint Devota for an exchange with young people, followed by a meeting with catechumens.
The day will conclude with a public Mass presided over by the Sovereign Pontiff at the Stade Louis-II, in the presence of the Princely Family, civil and religious authorities, and numerous faithful.

The upper left portion of the logo features a black-and-white image of the Holy Father, smiling and offering a blessing, dressed in liturgical vestments with the mitre and the papal ferula (pastoral staff), expressing the spiritual and pastoral dimension of the visit. To the right is a stylized depiction of the tower of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, recalling the identity and sovereignty of the Principality. The tower is rendered entirely in light yellow so that the upper section, when viewed as a whole, evokes the flag of the Vatican.
The lower section is occupied by the inscription announcing the Journey, specifically the name “Leo XIV,” placed centrally in a bold, block typeface, and the word “Monaco,” which stands out in the vibrant red of the national flag and the Principality's coat of arms.
At the bottom is the motto: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (Jn 14:6), signifying that the Pope serves as the messenger of Christ Himself and His teachings.
Overall, the logo highlights the figure of the Pope and his apostolic mission, in harmony with the welcome extended by the Principality, where the Catholic religion is the State religion.
