Ambassador Jean d'Haussonville presents Letters of credence to H.S.H. the Prince

On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, H.S.H. Prince Albert II received in His Palace H.E. Mr. Jean d'Haussonville, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Principality of Monaco.

After being welcomed on the Place du Palais by the piquet d'honneur of the Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince under the orders of Lieutenant-Colonel Martial Pied, Chef de Corps, Ambassador Jean d'Haussonville made his way to the Salon des Glaces, led by Colonel Jean-Luc Carcenac, Chamberlain to H.S.H. the Prince.

H.E. Mr. Jean d'Haussonville then presented his Letters of Credence to the Sovereign Prince. The ceremony took place in the presence of Mrs. Yvette Lambin-Berti, Secretary of State, Mr. Christophe Steiner, Chief of Staff, Mrs. Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Government Counsellor-Minister for External Relations and Cooperation, and Mr. Yann Battefort, First Counsellor at the French Embassy.

Afterwards, a lunch was organized at the Residence of the Minister of State in the presence of TT.SS.HH. Prince Albert and Princess Charlène.

H.E. Mr. d'Haussonville succeeds H.E. Mr. Laurent Stefanini as French Ambassador to Monaco. 

A diplomat and cultural affairs administrator, H.E. Mr. Jean d'Haussonville was General Manager of the Domaine National de Chambord for 12 years.
